American Document Destruction
If you're doing a one-time purge in your office (St. Louis and surrounding areas) and the volume you need to shred is a little too much for your home office shredder, you can take your boxes here and they'll shred the contents for you for free. 

St. Charles County Recycle Works

60 Triad Drive, Triad South Industrial Park. Near Highway 94 and Kisker Road.
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays.
Collecting computers, cell phones, electronic gear, cardboard, mixed paper and large appliances. Fees from $5 to $15 for disposal of some items.

Verizon Wireless Stores
Drop boxes in each location for used cell phones. Phones are refurbished when possible and provided free to abused women.

Freecycle
A regional, free group dedicated to keeping things out of landfills. Have anything you'd like to give away? Check out www.freecycle.org
