Mary is fabulous to work with — she not only helped with organization of an office that housed an existing business, she also organized that same office to launch a new business! I highly recommend Mary — she is very enjoyable to work with, and she went above and beyond to straighten out an administrative mess!”  Val Strang, Burn Fitness, LLC

How to have less stuff in your office.

It's pretty easy for an office to get out of control, stuff-wise. Things come into our space with very little effort, but it requires time and effort -- even if just a little bit of both -- to get things...

Consulting

When I consult with you and your business the outcomes of our work together are more efficient and effective processes which can be developed to improve:
Communication between individuals and teams
Meetings
E-mail and smartphone handling practices
Project management
Use of office space
Use of administrative support resources
and more

Reasons for Consulting

Consulting can benefit you and your company if:

  • Processes are non–existent. Routine tasks are not done in a routine way.
  • Processes are needlessly complex — often because they've always been done that way.
  • Knowledge of the process walks out the door at night. There is no documentation of how things are done which means if someone quits or is out unexpectedly, there is no way for someone to seamlessly pick up the task and get things done
  • Meetings are long and unproductive.
  • Communication challenges in the office are making teams less productive than is acceptable
  • It's unclear who is responsible for what task, resulting in double work or things falling through the cracks

An Outside Perspective

Often what clients know is that the result they are getting isn’t meeting their needs or the needs of their clients, but they can be too close to the problem to see what is driving that result, which hampers their ability to develop a workable solution. I provide an outside perspective and ultimately solutions for new ways of doing things.

However my work doesn’t end with telling you what you need to do. The best solutions developed in a collaborative process are worthless if they aren’t implemented. So my services include communicating what has been created, providing training as necessary, seeing that the new processes are put into action, and fine-tuning what we’ve developed to achieve maximum return on your efforts.

Consulting Fees

Fees are $125 per hour, payable at time of service. However arrangments for monthly or bi weekly payments can be made for long-term engagements with small businesses and corporations.

How Consulting Differs from Coaching

All of my clients are good at what they do. And they look to me to help them do that work with less stress and in a more organized way. Sometimes what’s needed is an outside perspective and fresh ideas and that’s where I come in as a consultant. For many consulting clients we meet just one or two times and are able to assess the situation and come up with actionable solutions to meet the need(s) we’ve identified. That means that sometimes clients get everything they need with an investment of just $250 - which can be a tremendous help to the one-person business.

Of course, I also have long-standing relationships with clients who are continually seeking ways to kick things up a notch in terms of how efficiently and effectively they operate their business.

The point is that I want to help make you more successful and I have created options to do that for companies with budgets that run the gamut.

If you are interested in individual, sustained habit change with regard to procrastination, time management, organization skills, etc., you may want to consider coaching.
