The bulletin board. Or for those people who have a cube, the fabric wall with stuff push-pinned onto it.
Here’s the thing. A bulletin board is fine for posting photos, a nice calendar, cartoons, or motivational quotes, but it’s the worst place to tack something that requires you to take action. Things get tacked on there so they won’t get lost in the shuffle on the desk. But then items get tacked on top of each other five deep. And even if items are only one layer deep we just stop seeing them after awhile. What is stuck on there just becomes part of the scenery.
So clear off that bulletin board and see how much better you feel with a less visually cluttered space.
